Howdy Dancers,

international dance weekend, there will be no international dance in Kalispell this Saturday Nov. 8. Dancing will
resume the following Saturday Nov. 15, 7 to 10 p.m., at the Salvation Army gym, 110 Bountiful Drive, Kalispell.

DANCE SHOES:
The Downtown Dance Collective has a beautiful floating maple floor. Please bring appropriate dance shoes. Street shoes
or dance shoes with soles that will mar the floor are not acceptable.

DINNER
We don't have a venue conducive to a potluck, but the Downtown Dance Collective (DDC) is right downtown in the Heart of
Missoula. There are manygood eating establishments within walking distance, including some
inexpensive and hearty choices. Susan and I will explore what is available and offer suggestions for gathering spots.

EQUIPMENT
The DDC has a very nice built in sound system. We will have our usual collection of vinyl. The DDC has the capability
to plug a computer into their very nice sound system, so feel free to bring a laptop along with music if you are so
inclined. We will also have the capability for CDs and tapes. Helping hands to manage music is always welcome.

DIRECTIONS
The Downtown Dance Collective (DDC) is on 121 West Main Street in the first block west of Higgins Avenue in downtown
Missoula. It is about one block south and east of the Missoula County Courthouse. There is free on-street parking as
well as a free parking garage across the street from the DDC. Check out the DDC website:

PROGRAM PLANNING
Susan will be working on putting together a program for Saturday afternoon, November 9th. As with previous years the
program will alternate teaching\review sessions with blocks of dancing. There is typically time to teach or review
three dances or more during the afternoon. We'll also have Sunday morning to fill out the rough edges on other dances
that surface during the weekend. If you or your dance cohorts have a requests for a dance to be taught or reviewed, or
have something to teach then please email those to Susan (ssweet AT bresnan DOT net) or myself. If a dance to be
reviewed was originally taught by someone other than Susan or I, then please identify who may have introduced the dance.
Safe travels to all,
Mike and Susan

THE SALVATION ARMY, which graciously allows us to dance in their facility each week for a fairly nominal fee, is in need
of volunteer bellringers for the holiday season. Anyone interested in helping out for a shift or two should call the
Salvation Army office in Kalispell (257-4357) during regular working hours to find out more.
