Kalispell International Folk Dancers

Hi everyone

We looked at Čekurjankino Horo because at Steam and Stomp and Stamp and Camp we always end up dancing it.

California recreational folk dancers were introduced to Čekurjankino Horo by Yves Moreau at the 23rd Stockton folk Dance camp, July 26 - august 8, 1970. He may have taught it other places as well, but I do not know about those. The video seen on this YouTube link is of a group dancing at the Ashkenaz, Berkeley, CA - June 13, 2014 - and done pretty much the way we dance it.

The pronunciation of Čhekuriankino, Cheh-koor-YAHN-key-noh Hoh-ROH

The little circumflex accent or Caret ^ makes the C sound like cheh
