Hello Dancers,

International Folk Dancing in Kalispell defers this week to the December Contra Dance, which takes place
Saturday, Dec. 11, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Venue will be the Northridge Lutheran Church, 323 Northridge
Drive, since the Salvation Army gym is being used for Christmas stuff. Band is The Usual Suspects.
Caller - Roy Curet. All dances are taught and called. Admission $7 adults & teens, $13 families
(kids & non-dancers free). For more information, call Joe at 752-7469 or Sherry at 752-8226.

We had a surprisingly productive dance night last Saturday, considering the absence of our usual
two leaders. But Ruth & Sam danced into the breach and kept things lively with several Israeli
dances, to celebrate Hanukkah. We welcomed a new dancer, Anne, and hope to see her regularly.
International dancing resumes Dec. 18, from 7 to 10 p.m., at the Salvation Army gym, 110 Bountiful
Drive. A $3 donation is requested for rental of the gym.

Beyond that, the consensus was to cancel international dancing on Saturday, Dec. 25, since most
everyone will be busy with Christmas things. We will dance and party again on Saturday,
Jan 1 (New Years Day). Lauren, who is just back from her latest work-travel adventure, has tentatively
volunteered to host the New Years dance once again at her home in Kalispell. Details to follow later.

Steam & Stomp will be the next major event in the new year. Bill Bucher from Helena has sent
        out the following notice:
This is a save-the-date reminder for the Steam and Stomp at Boulder Hot Springs on February 19-20, 2011.
I will send out further information and registration details towards the end of December.
Happy holidays, and hope to see you in the New Year.
