Hello Dancers,
International Folk Dancing in Kalispell will take place Saturday, April 16, from 7 to 10 p.m.,
at the Salvation Army gym, 110 Bountiful Drive.
A memorial celebration for Marvin Black, our late friend and dancing inspiration, will be held on May 7
starting at 2 p.m. at the Smith Valley Grange Hall on U.S. 2 just west of Kalispell. The memorial will include
honors from the local Veterans and Masons (Marvin was a WW II Navy vet and Mason). It will be followed by a
potluck and Contra dance, with caller Mark Mathews. Plan to attend, if you can. It will be a fine event and a
great way to share memories of our friend. The Grange Hall is located a couple of miles west of Kalispell.
Note that it does not have kitchen facilities, although it may be possible to plug in warming dishes
(if anyone knows different, please let me know).
