Hello Dancers,
Kalispell International Folk Dance tonight, Saturday July 21, 8 to 10 p.m.,
at the Salvation Army Community Center, 110 Bountiful Drive. It's a busy
weekend in the Flathead, with Art in the Park in Kalispell's Depot Park,
Festival Amideus starting in Whitefish, and the big annual Cajun dance in
Somers tonight. Some of us may end up in Somers after IFD. Next Saturday
afternoon there's also another Tango class in Kalispell. Links and playlists to follow.
Thanks again to Cecelia for organizing the IFD event in Butte last Saturday
during the Montana Folk Festival. We had about 30 dancers from all around the
state, and of course the festival music and food and exhibitions were marvelous
once again. Especially enjoyed Harmonia (the folk & gypsy music from eastern
Europe) and the duo from Azerbaijan and Iran.
