        Hello Dancers,

        Kalispell International Folk Dancing will be cancelled Saturday, Feb. 16. Several dancers,
        along with our sound system, will be gone to the annual Steam & Stomp folk dance weekend at
        Boulder Hot Springs, sponsored by the Helena folk dancers. We will dance again in Kalispell
        on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 7 to 10 p.m., at the Salvation Army Community Center, 110 Bountiful Drive.

        For those headed to Boulder Hot Springs this weekend, the Helena Folk Dancers will also be
        dancing Friday night at the TangoHelena studio, 13 West Placer (off Last Chance Gulch),
        from 7 to 9 p.m. The group dances regularly on Friday nights.

        Sam Neff advises that there will be a special Contra Dance event in Kalispell on Feb. 23,
        in addition to the March Contra Dance on the following Saturday, March 2. Details will follow.

        Apologies for the absence of folk dance emails last month. Rose & I were traveling, visiting
        family and friends. We did manage a detour to dance with the Las Vegas Ethnic Express International
        Folk Dancers and found them a very friendly and welcoming group, with several excellent teachers.
        They taught several dances and did others that were new to us, so it was a fun night.
        They will be hosting the annual National Folk Organization Conference on March 21-24, 2013.
