Hello Dancers,
International Folk Dancing in Kalispell is Saturday Sept. 18, from 7 to 10 p.m., at the Salvation Army gym,
110 Bountiful Way. Remember we are back to fall-winter-spring hours.
Kalispell Contra Dancing will resume the 2nd Saturday of the month, beginning in October at the Salvation Army,
according to organizer Kathy Neff. The exception will be November, when the Rails to Trails group holds their
annual dance/pie auction on the 2nd Saturday (we would shift up to the first Saturday that month). So the
Contra Dances will be on Oct. 9, Nov. 6, Dec. 11 (at Northridge Lutheran since Salvation Army Gym is usually busy),
Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12, and April 9. The May dance will likely be held in combination with the Missoula group
at the Methodist Church Camp during the camp's clean-up weekend. For more info, e-mail kathy at nathykeff AT yahoo

Dancing in the Country will be on Saturday, Sept. 25, at Hallie Rugheimer's beautiful Weather Rock Barn and ranch
in the beautiful Shields Valley 20 miles northeast of Bozeman along Flathead Creek and on state Highway 86.

Here's the schedule:

There is space for camping and sleep overs can stay in Hallie's new home at Weather Rock. The Barn has woodburning
fireplace and heaters if it turns cold. Dress for weather changes and cool evenings - soft soled clean shoes of
course for the dance floor. Families with children are welcome to come and enjoy bird watching, small library and
reading spaces at the Barn or easy hikes along farm roads. Explore riparian areas of water and stream-side
vegetation, open fields for games, frisbee, kites, Fire pit conversation area in the evening - marshmallows,
s’mores, camp singing.
Remember - Weather Rock has a telephone (at the house) but no cell phone service, no cable video, no Wal-Mart’s,
